GOVERNMENT OF PAKISTAN MINISTRY OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY CAREER OPPORTUNITY 

POSITION NAME: TECHNICAL ADVISOR (MP-I) 
OVERVIEW:
Ministry of Science and Technology requires the services of a Technical Advisor to help and advise the Federal Minister for Science and Technology on science, innovation and techno-economic issues. Required qualification, experience, age limit, eligibility criteria, and other terms and conditions are given as under:

QUALIFICATION:
Minimum Master's degree in Applied/Life Science/Engineering Sciences from nationally/
internationally reputed/HEC recognized Universities. Candidates with Doctoral degrees from Universities of repute will be given preference.

EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 12 years' experience in academic and/or startup entities with national and/or international organizations in the field of scientific innovation and technology development. Evidence of impactful scientific achievement especially in the technology entrepreneurship ecosystem. Candidates with greater citable research publications and patents with commercial relevance will be given preference.

AGE LIMIT:
40 years to 62 years.

EMOLUMENTS:
MP-1 package along with all other benefits/facilities admissible as per rules. In the case of selection, the candidate working in Government Department or autonomous or Semi-Autonomous Body will have to seek retirement before joining the assignment.

TENURE:
The selected candidate shall be appointed for an initial term of two (02) years, with the possibility of extension as per the procedure.

PRE-MATURE TERMINATION: 
The contract of Technical Advisor could also be terminated by giving one month's notice on either side or payment of 1 month's basic pay in lieu of thereof.
